This is a course designed for practicing engineers who want to employ Opensource tools solve engineering and science problems in the broad domains of fluid mechanics, multiphase flows, fluid – structure interactions, magnetohydrodynamics to name a few.

  3. OpenFOAM: Installation and usage
  4. Efficient use of OpenFOAM, Linux and postprocessing via Paraview 5. Preprocessing and mesh generation using tools like GMSH and SALOME
  5. Setting up of solvers and analysis using case studies
  6. Parallel usage of solvers
  7. Case study project Syllabus
