This is a course designed for practicing engineers who want to employ Opensource tools solve engineering and science problems in the broad domains of fluid mechanics, multiphase flows, fluid – structure interactions, magnetohydrodynamics to name a few.
- Introduction to CFD
- Introduction to OpenSource tools for CFD
- OpenFOAM: Installation and usage
- Efficient use of OpenFOAM, Linux and postprocessing via Paraview 5. Preprocessing and mesh generation using tools like GMSH and SALOME
- Setting up of solvers and analysis using case studies
- Parallel usage of solvers
