The aim of the workshop is to introduce some of the recent developments in various research topics in and around commutative algebra. The experts are expected to talk about some of the important work(s) they have done in the recent past and towards the end propose some conjectures and/or possible directions to work further. The workshop is aimed at second year or higher Ph.D. students, post-doctoral students and possibly some young faculty working in and around commutative algebra. Participants are expected to be familiar with the following topics: basic homological methods in commutative algebra; basic Hilbert function theory.
