This AIS aims to address a range of topics that illustrate the interplay of analysis and geometry / topology in the broad sense, with particular emphasis on the Yamabe problem. In the first two weeks, we propose an ATM School where we will develop preliminary material on (nonlinear) functional analysis, harmonic/PDE (mainly elliptic) and differential geometry. The third week will be a more advanced workshop, where we will cover topics dealing with spectral theory of the Laplacian, prescribing Gauss curvature and critical exponent equations related to the Yamabe problem.
