The Teacher’s Enrichment Workshop is meant for mathematics teachers in Engineering and Science colleges in Jabalpur. We will cover certain aspects of multivariate calculus, and linear algebra that would be relevant to the syllabus of Engineering as well as PG education. Each topic will have 7-8-lectures and upto 2 tutorial sessions. Since this workshop is meant for teachers, we will not take usual class-room approach. The lectures will be supplemented by many instructive examples. There will be active tutorial sessions in the afternoon.

Multivariate Calculus - continuity, partial derivatives, differentiability, maxima-minima, inverse and implicit function theorems. Reference: Mathematical Analysis by Tom Apostol.
Linear Algebra - Linear transformations, inner product spaces, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, generalised Eigen spaces, Jordan canonical forms. Reference: Linear Algebra by S. Kumaresan.
