TEW - Linear Algebra and Probability (2026)
Speakers and Syllabus
Teacher Enrichment Workshop (TEW) on Linear Algebra and Probability, designed to support and inspire faculty members in mathematics and related disciplines. This workshop aims to provide participants with deeper insights, pedagogical approaches, and practical exposure to two of the most fundamental areas of mathematics that have wide applications across science, engineering, and data-driven fields.
Linear Algebra forms the backbone of modern mathematics and technology, with applications in computer science, cryptography, optimization, machine learning, and network theory. The workshop sessions will revisit core concepts while introducing advanced perspectives, problem-solving techniques, and classroom strategies to enhance teaching and student engagement.
Probability is a vital tool for modeling uncertainty and randomness, with direct implications in statistics, data analysis, artificial intelligence, and real-world decision-making. The sessions will highlight intuitive explanations, illustrative examples, and methods for effectively communicating abstract concepts to students.
The workshop will be led by experienced resource persons who will share their expertise through lectures, discussions, and problem-solving sessions. This program offers a valuable opportunity for teachers to update their knowledge, exchange ideas, and strengthen their teaching practices for the benefit of students and institutions.
